This week I had the fabulous opportunity to interview sisters Lyanne and Jeannette from Nic del Mar.
After browsing their amazing online boutique I confess I wanted to buy everything!!
See it for yourself!
Who’s Nic del Mar?
Jeannette: Nic del Mar is an online resort wear boutique. Our story dates back to our first vacation in the tiny island of St. Barths. Trading Christmas presents for pina coladas we couldn’t wait to be among the jet setters of the world. It wasn’t until we arrived, we realized that fashion extended not only from the street but to the beach as well. My sister and I wanted to bring that lifestyle to Miami. By combining our middle names, Nicole & Marie, Nic del Mar was born. Since then, we have brought many collections together to become what is http://www.nicdelmar.com/.
Who’s your ideal client?
Lyanne: Women from the ages of 15-50 who want to be fashion forward at the beach. We wanted to make sure to have a variety of price ranges so that any woman can shop.
What swimwear brands do you carry?
ANK, Bianca Coletti, Hermanny by Vix, Koi Swimwear, Rygy, Saha, Salinas, Sofia by Vix, Vix, Zimmermann.

What types of beach accessories does Nic del Mar offer?

What is the price range in the store?
Our prices range from $48-225. Merchandise priced under $105 can be found in our “sport” collection, which offers both cheap and chic resort wear, while our “resort” collection offers higher end beachwear favorites.
Who’s your favorite swimwear designer?
Jeannette: I am obsessed with Vix. It has amazing quality with a sophisticated style.
Lyanne: Other than Vix, I would have to say Salinas. They have great suits with so much flair and style.
Hottest swimwear trends
The biggest trends for spring and summer 09’ are the draped bottom and the seamless bottom. The delta bottom has a thick and soft band that hugs your hips, helps to camouflage those love handles. The seamless bottom with a cinched back reveals natural curves in good way.
Bandeau tops are always a big hit.
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about Nic del Mar?
We may be on-line, but we are very personable to our customers just as we would be at a store. Any questions or concerns, we are always happy to answer. We want our customers to feel comfortable with their purchase.
