Juanjo Oliva SS.2010

Juanjo Oliva was born in Madrid in 1971. After qualifying in Fashion Design at IADE (Madrid) and completing a fashion illustration course at the Parsons School of Design in New York, he initially worked for the designer Isabel Berz in the early 90s collaborating with her shows at Pasarela Cibeles.
Throughout this decade, he worked as an illustrator, a fashion designer and a fashion show coordinator for renowned names such as Sybilla and Amaya Arzuaga.

Following this prolific stage of work, he decided to open his own boutique-atelier on Núñez de Balboa Street in Madrid. It is in this space where he still markets his fashion proposals in addition to offering a select clientele the possibility of enjoying a made-to-measure tailoring service.

This designer has already received many accolades, such as the L’Oreal Award for the Best Collection at Pasarela Cibeles autumn-winter 2005-2006; the 2005 Marie-Claire International Excellence Award for the Best New Designer; the “T” for Telva 2006 award for the Best National Designer; and the L’Oréal Award for the best 2009 spring-summer collection at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week.

  1. Those shoes are to die for! Love them. The casual dresses are great as well. The prints are just gorgeous.
